.At our preschool, we have three basic rules:
- Be safe.
- Be kind.
- Have fun.
Of course these lead to many other sub-rules, like
"Walk when you are carrying scissors," but if any rule I make doesn't fit under the one of the big three, then I need to ask myself if I'm not being a lazy teacher, leaving control of the children to an ever-growing list of rules rather than personal mentoring and the impartation of wisdom.
